South Africa's founding statement of the Constitution
A Constitution is a collection of fundamental and legal principles that guide the state into performing legal and ethical governing. A Country's preamble of it's constitution is basically a introductory statement that lays out the main purpose and key theories and so communications the intentions of the framers of the entity's Constitution.
The current South Africa's Constitution was essentially inaugurated cause of the country's history as the country had once experienced race inequality towards it's citizens during the apartheid. The Parliament elected in 1994 drew up the current Constitution with intentions of progressing South Africa into a democratic and free economy to all who lives in it. Through unity of those in power , the Constitution had then been adopted as the supreme law meaning lawfully highly in authority to ensure the following key fundamentals ;
-To heal the wounds of the past and initiate a society of social justice and human rights listed in the Bill of rights with their respective responsibilities example, the right to dignity which places a responsibility to treat other citizens with reverence , respect and dignity.
- To lay the basis of an open society meaning ,freedom of belief and wide dissemination of information, to ensure government attends to the will of the nations wills and to be equally protected by law: " True, the struggle will be a one. Leaders will be deported. The Government will terrorise the people and their people and their leaders in an effort to halt the organisation will be rendered impossible. The spirit of the people cannot be crush"
- Improve equal quality of life and freedom of the nation's citizens: " Social equality is the only basis of human happiness" , quote from Darren Bergman.
- Establish unity and peace amongst citizens regardless of their race, religion , gender, age and backgrounds as "South Africa belongs to all who belongs in it".
"South Africa since 1994 transitioned from the system of apartheid to one of majority rule" , before this was achieved , young citizens sacrificed their lives in order for apartheid to be as of the past for the generations that follow . As a way of paying respect to those being , the Constitution was drawn and promulgated by our late president Nelson Mandela as the nation felt that they were worthy of all the praises: " I stand before you not as a prophet but as a humble servant of you , the people .Your tireless and heroic sacrifices have made it possible for me to be here", words from Nelson Mandela on his release from prison. Other than that , the Constitution ,additionally, serves as honour to the country's developers as the Nation belongs to all who lives in it.
Equality is not a concept neither is it something we should be striving for ,rather , is a necessity. It is compared to gravity, we need it to stand on this earth as men and women , as blacks and whites , as kids and adults and as different religions .
"Nkosi Sikelel'iAfrika..... Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso..... Uit die blou van onse hemel ..... And united we shall stand..." lines derived from the South African National Anthem so as to outline the unity of the country through combining the different languages of the nation and to conclude to the Preamble of the Constitution .
